Dye intermediates, also known as intermediates, generally refer to various aromatic derivatives used in the production of dyes and organic pigments. They are derived from benzene, toluene, naphthalene and anthracene and other aromatic hydrocarbons from coal chemical industry and petrochemical industry as basic raw materials through a series of organic synthesis unit processes.
Dye intermediates mainly include benzene intermediates, toluene intermediates, naphthalene intermediates and anthraquinone intermediates. In addition, there are some heterocyclic intermediates.
Dye intermediates serve many industries, such as textiles, plastics, coatings, printing inks and paper making. Besides, dye intermediates are also important raw materials for acid, reactive and direct dyes. One of the main applications of dye intermediates is in hair dyes.
